We’re seeking dynamic and creative individuals who are able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in all aspects of family placement and child and family work. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team to develop effective partnerships with local providers as well as meeting the needs of foster parents and the children placed with them. Child & Youth Counsellors

Key Assets are seeking qualified Child and Youth Workers to fulfil a full-time and relief/contract positions.

You will have an integral role in supporting complex needs children and youth in and/or transitioning into foster care. The successful candidates will utilize their skills in a variety of areas such as therapeutic counselling, behaviour and crisis management, program development and individual and group programming. You will work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and have a strong understanding of attachment, resilience and the impact of childhood trauma.

The successful candidate will work within foster families residing within the GTA with up to a 2 hr. commute from our Mississauga Office.


  • Applicants must have at minimum a Child and Youth Worker Diploma/Degree or Developmental Services Worker Diploma
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience, with preference given to those that have worked with children in Foster Care
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, occasional weekends and after hours on-call support
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to supporting individuals from diverse cultures, experiences and backgrounds
  • Must have valid First Aid, CPR and current certification in an approved Crisis Prevention and Intervention Program
  • A valid G license with a clean driving record and daily access to a safe/reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2-Million liability insurance
  • A current “Vulnerable Sector Police Screening”
  • A second language is an asset including American Sign Language
