Key Assets Fostering provides all of our foster parents with competitive fostering allowances and fees to cover the cost of living and serve as a compensation for the work they do.

Standard fostering allowances and fees

We consider foster care to be a serious life choice and foster parents should be compensated in the same way that they would for any other career. For this reason, Key Assets Fostering offers a competitive fostering payment for all of our foster parents.

There’s no definitive allowance that foster parents receive due to the varying nature of fostering placements. Factors such as age, complex needs or behavioural difficulties have an impact on the allowances or fee you receive.

Fostering allowances to cover the cost of living

The fostering allowance from Key Assets Fostering takes into account the following costs of living:

  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Basic travel
  • Household bills
  • Everyday living

As well as fostering allowances and fees, Key Assets Fostering foster parents are provided with free foster care training courses throughout the year and comprehensive support services that are available 24-hours a day.
