About Key Assets Fostering

Key Assets Fostering is an Independent Fostering Agency based in Northern Ontario, Southern Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador. Established in 2009, Key Assets Fostering works in partnership with Child and Family services to offer quality care in a family setting for children and youth with complex needs.

Key Assets Fostering has established itself with two provincial operations, providing services in parts of Newfoundland and Ontario where we offer an alternative to group care placements for children and youth.

As part of the Core Assets group of companies, we are part of a long established international group of foster care agencies, working to high professional standards and helping children and youth in care to achieve positive outcomes. Our sister company, Foster Care Associates (FCA), is the largest Independent Fostering Agency in the UK.

At Key Assets Fostering, we take a flexible approach to working with the child, foster parent and the provincial child welfare authority to provide resources and support services that best fit the needs of each child. We are child focused, supportive of our foster parents (and their families) and professional in our approach.

The Team Parenting™ approach to foster care provides an unrivalled package of professional training and support services delivered to meet the specific needs of the foster family and the child. Team Parenting™ has a proven track record in delivering positive outcomes for children and young people with complex needs or difficult behaviours.

Team Parenting™ is a holistic approach to fostering designed to meet high standards and achieve quality outcomes. This approach has generated much initial interest from potential foster parents and employees, as well as organizations who have heard about the success that we have achieved through the use of Team Parenting™ in our UK operations.

Where we operate

We currently have offices based in Mississauga, Moosonee and St John’s. Our services are currently operational in Northern Ontario, Southern Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador.
